ETC’s Unison® Architectural-Lighting Control

The latest addition to ETC’s Unison® architectural-lighting control line is the new 18” Touchscreen, for Paradigm systems that utilize the Paradigm Central Control Server™. This high-resolution LCD interface allows users to have the types of graphical controls and information displays they need for managing their large lighting systems – at the tap of a finger.
The Touchscreen leverages the ‘Virtual Touchscreen’ capabilities specific to ETC’s new Paradigm Central Control Server, making it possible for users to map out their complex lighting and building-control systems, view controls, move through layers, and drill down through system details.
New ETC Rigging Products Now Shipping!
ETC is now shipping the latest additions to the ETC Rigging family: the Prodigy Variable Speed Hoist (V1000S) and the Foundation Variable and Fixed Speed Controller.
With a lifting capacity of a 1000-pound working load-limit, the V1000S hoist operates at a rate of zero to 180 feet per minute of batten travel. The V1000S’s Powerhead – a 55.25”x16”x16” black box – looks very similar to the Powerhead on the Prodigy Fixed-Speed hoists. The V1000S also includes all of the same operating machinery, including the unique Prodigy hybrid drum, the same slack-line detector, load-profiling system, limit-switch system, compression tube, and loft blocks. The V1000S system includes a Variable Frequency Drive as part of the power stream, which allows continuous management of speed. The Powerhead has a brake directly coupled to the motor, which brings the system to a stop. A separate brake helps hold the load after it stops moving. Both brakes engage for an E-stop. The holding brake, gearbox, and cable drum are assembled on a single shaft for the safest management of the lifting system. The Foundation Variable and Fixed Speed Rigging Controller is designed to operate fixed- and variable-speed hoists. It includes four levels of use: Manual Operation for loading and unloading linesets; Preset for designing looks with preprogrammed positions; Cue Stack for creating the duration and speed of each hoist-movement, including lead-lag cues, automatically timed cue-follows, and more; and Playback Mode, which allows an operator to initiate a show and each succeeding cue with automated cue-follow capabilities. In each mode, there is an opportunity for overriding pre-programmed cues and operation.
